Process Improvement
Isn't Always the Answer: Corinne Miller Director, Global
Functional Learning Motorola, Inc. |
Abstract
A wise
person once said...when you only have a hammer, everything looks like a nail. As
software professionals, especially those who seek to make improvements, we need
to be careful that process (aka "the hammer") isn't the only tool in
our improvement kit.
We'll
discuss how to recognize when there are human elements at play and how to work
them in a software engineering environment. Real world example will be used and
a brief job-aid will be provided.
